These were sunflowers that I bought a couple of days ago and I thought I'd best get them painted before they died on me!!
My object today was to try and work with a very limited palette and capture the shadow on the right hand side. I also found that I was getting really icky picky on the centre of the sunflower in the forefront, so I took a big brush and just swiped around it to loosen it up. Now looking at it, I see that I could have pulled some of the shadow colour of the righthand sunflower into the outer leaves of the sunflower in the forefront to give it a bit more dimension.
